With the start of 2012 comes another new Pantone Colour of the Year, and another fresh burst of wedding design inspiration. I use the term fresh literally when it comes to this years top pick, Tangerine Tango. It’s sunny, warm, and sweet, with endless design possibilities.

Pantone 2012 Colour of the Year
As designers, we here at Milestone are never afraid of a pop of colour. For those brides-to-be that aren’t either, (and hey, even those that are) here are some easy ways to sweeten up your day with a few splashes of Tangerine Tango.
1) Stationery
With just a hint of you accent colour, it will leave your guests hungry for more, and give them a hint of what is to come.

2) Fresh Floral
Flowers are the best way to infuse your event with colour. I love a playful, multi-tonal effect, with varying shades within one pallet.

3) Cake
A clean white cake, with a bright pop of colour is always a fresh and modern favourite in my books.

4) Your Girls
What colour sets of a sun kissed summer glow better than Tangerine? As with the flowers, don’t be afraid to mix and match styles and shades to find the perfect look for each of your lovely ladies.

5) Sweets
There is no shortage of yummy options when it comes to orange flavoured candy! Regardless of your accent colour, pick your theme a go with it!

When the day is done, send your guests home with little something to remember you, and your wicked design by!

Tangerine has long been one of my favourite colours, so I’m glad to see the design world agree. I can’t wait to see how it shapes the 2012 wedding season!
Happy planning, all.
