This is one of the common questions we are asked when tying up the details. So before I direct you to some great drink calculators that I have found I would suggest that you take a couple of important details into consideration before using them.  My golden rule really is just to “ know your guest”. (based on the couple’s knowledge)  How many are heavy vs. light drinkers, and what do they like beer, liquor or wine? Also take into consideration over-drinking and whether or not that may or may not be an issue. Will there be an open bar and will wine be served during dinner?

Generally I would say it’s safe to guess that most will have two drinks the first hour and one drink per hour thereafter.
