Limo Woes

October 15th, 2009 | Category: Random stuff you need to know about

Hi everyone…this is my very first blog post since I’ve been here with Tanya so first and foremost I would like to introduce myself, I am Tanya’s right hand woman and partner in crime, Danica. I promise we will put some pictures up soon! It’s been tons of fun learning the ropes here at milestones and I can’t wait to see what next wedding season brings!

So here’s a little something I’ve learned…limo companies can sometimes be difficult to deal with while planning the transportation section of your wedding. However, I have found the solution! I was tired of never getting a response from Limo companies, so I called around to a few new ones that Tanya had suggested just to check them out and make a last minute booking. I came across Excel limousine and wow what a fresh breath of air!! They were so kind, helpful, timely and efficient it blew me away! They squeezed us into their schedule with little notice no problem or questions asked. Right after I got off the phone with Excel they had already emailed me the contract! That never happens!  And before I could even get around to filling out all necessary paper work and sending it back, Excel was calling me to go over final details! Needless to say I was excited! Anyways…I had to share because Tanya and I were thoroughly impressed and look forward to much business together in the future! So if you ever need a good limo company…these are your guys!

The Big Grand Opening

October 09th, 2009 | Category: news

So we have officially opened our doors.  Well, we did in May but with wedding season and the nuttiness that that brings we weren’t able to do the big party until now.  And did we ever celebrate!  It has been a long, long haul to get here and I have many friends and family to thank:  my husband, Wes, who continually hands me my dreams on a silver platter, never says no and loves me more than anyone.  My parents who built and designed this amazingly beautiful space for me (no contractors, no construction guys…just my mom and my dad and my amazing husband!)  and put up with, well just everything.  Not many people have parents that do as much for them as my parents do for us.  I am grateful.  My friends: who put up with us being completely incommunicative for a whole year, and are still our friends.  The Gilmore’s who dropped everything to lend a hand; the Hulstra’s who are always present, with offers to help even though they have their own stuff to deal with; Jeanette for design advice, wine thirty, and just getting it.  The Marliss’ for the ear and letting me rant about the unhelpful desk at the city of Surrey; The Speirings who give us amazing gifts: their time, their friendship, a set of stairs :o).

I also am thankful for my brides who continually support me and inspire me.  If it was not for you (all of you…even from the very beginning) I would not be who and where I am today.  I thank you.

So, without much further ado, I am happy to show off our new studio.  The following video is a gift from the insanely talented Love Story Media:

Cheers,
