All that glitters is…well…sparkly. Starlight Foundation | 24.11.07
Every year we help out a charity. In the past we have worked with David Foster and Friends and The Steve Nash Foundation. This year it was Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation’s inaugural Sparkle Gala. I helped out with the decor and some of the details (but certainly not all…this is a talented group of volunteers!)
They held an uber-cool fashion show and cocktail party at Clutch/AutoOne. An old chum who works for Starbucks showed up as a part of the volunteer crowd and we got to meet some great new people. LesIsMore, one of my favourite jazz groups in the city performed, and everyone had a great time.
Thanks to Heather Burnette (who has the patience of Job I might add) and my good friend Paulette Garneau (Event and show producer extraordinaire) for introducing me to a really worthwhile cause.
Here’s what they had to say:
Dear Tanya,
On Behalf of our Starlight Starbright children and families a huge thank you for helping make Sparkle 2007 our most successful event yet! I appreciate that you took a leap of faith with us in a new venue with new vendors but you made it work! We truly could nothave done it with out you…I look forward to working together again in 2008!
Warmly,
Heather
Here are a few pics for the event. Sorry, not sure who the photographer was, otherwise I would have done a photo credit :).
No commentsGreat idea!
Many brides are starting to consider stationery for their weddings at this time of year. There is a really cool local company offering a very unique service: DIY invitation templates. The company is called Unitquity Invitations and you can visit them on the web here: www.uniquityinvitations.com
You can customize colours and fonts and embellish them anyway you like…a cheap and easy way of creating custom invitations! If there isn’t one you like, for a small fee, Uniquity can design one for you, post it on their site and name it after you…how cool is that?
